Today Apple released a new software update for the HomePod and HomePod mini. The update comes out few days after the iOS software update v17.4
This update enables Siri to learn your preferred media service, so you no longer need to include the name of the media app in your request.
This update also includes the usual performance and stability improvements.
The update comes in at 2.58 GB in size.
The update will be installed automatically unless you have auto-updates turned off. You can also request the update manually from the Home app.
